Shooting from the water surface is very interesting. They greatly expand the capabilities of the photographer. Using new techniques of filming can to remove something that's not available from the shore.

To do this, you need to build a floating tent. The tent has to swim, but a photographer can walk in it standing waist-deep in water. For long-term stay in the water, even in the southern latitudes (South Kazakhstan) and in the warmest month (August) need Wanderers. This is the most important thing in this company: I decided if I find the Wanderers, it is possible to move on to the next stage of the program. Oddly enough, zapadniki I found the first exit at the Central Shymkent market. Even had a choice of cheaper and more expensive. Even seen in several places of the Soviet UGC. Bought for 12,000 tenge (36 US $). Then I saw in the hunting store Belarusian for 17,000 tenge (51 US $). They seemed thicker. This is important: the thicker the foam rubber of the Wanderers, the warmer they are. I'll tell you what poddevat tights and wool socks (July 27) and was not hot. Even felt unpleasant coolness in the lower back (above Matusow). Need to come up with something in the form of a wide woolen belt.
So, having bought the Wanderers, I began to think about the floating means. The choice was between foam and plastic cans. Dense foam, which would not crumble, I never found. Stopped by the canisters. I bought 6 b/dvadtsatimetrovy cans from under dismal (500 tenge – 1,5 US $ each) . Top cleaned (wiped off with toilet paper) them with gasoline. As it turned out, had four (displacement 80 kg). I've been thinking how to mount "to the table". In the end, just tied with knitting wire (in place).

Next-table. I looked at the dimensions on the Internet.. Well, I got it a little bit bigger. I have built from 6 mm plywood puff that several (I think 4) times proolifiv. I must say, during my "float" the table has never been in the water.
Next-mount the camera. I just took a rod from the photo stand and shoved it into a 20mm fold, which drilled a hole with a thread for the stopper. On the table secured with two nuts

The frame was welded from a plastic water pipe. The arch to the table are attached with threads and (of course) nuts. Between themselves are connected by pipes, at the ends of which are fixed clips. table, cans, arches, transverse connecting tube, a bracket for the camera. All this together takes about 15 minutes – 20. Short distances can be transported assembled on the trunk

This is what this thing looks like on the water. Maybe she's a little tall. That's possible. If desired, everything can be camouflaged with reeds: in a tent there are special bands that you can insert branches-crosticina
First, I lowered the tent on the water. Then he went behind the camera and screwed it. Well and further - "floated". To move the tent easily. On my knees (when small), a maximum depth – just above the belt. Need watch, to not draw water (especially when sitting). I scooped it a couple times. After that, it became to follow. Canisters go deep into the water somewhere less than 3 – 4 centimeters . When you sit on your knees, you don't get tired at all. With this displacement, you can even lean a little on the table. On my Desk was nothing an extra battery and a flash drive kept in a plastic bag in special pockets in zapadniki. I think we'll need water. The rest, I think would interfere.
The first bird, which was removed from the tent were the green bee-eater (Merops persicus). After the departure of young pike is difficult to remove "on land". They often feed and sit above the water . Here and this let on a full frame. And in the Bush constantly flew different species that the whole day was played in this Creek

The tent can be removed flying red herons (Ardea purpurea). They were not frightened at all, flying low over the tent.

Another interesting bird – the thick-billed reed Bunting (Emberiza schoeniclus pyrrhuloides). I was able to see only wintering thin-beaked (Emberiza schoeniclus passerina ).

The most desirable water trophy of these days were young reeds (Gallinula chloropus) . They were always passing by. And it also could slowly closer, moving along the bottom.

Still interesting meetings semi-aquatic passerine birds, which not only failed to remove but to see it was difficult. The first is a thin-billed Warbler (Lusciniola melanopogon). For me it's a lifer

And another nice thing I discovered. In a tent in zbrodniach you can sit in the mud (puddles).
